2D Platformer

The adventurous alien scientist is on a mission to explore other dimensions.
His goal is to collect otherworldly objects and  travel as far as possible without getting trapped in this weird place.

My Position: Project and Creative Lead

Engine: Unity

Timeframe: 3 weeks


Description: Run & Jump through multiple weird dimensions. Throw potions to deal damage to different enemies. Use the Grappling Hook to progress and avoid the dangerous dark mist. Do your best to collect the otherwordly objects from every level.

My Role

  • I took the role of the creative lead

  • Worked as part of a small, motivated team using Scrum methodology  

  • Focused on implementing the gameplay in the engine

  • Was responsible for the overall polishing and presentation

Concept Art

I made the initial concept art for the environment of the levels that was further developed by one of the artists.

Level Design & Building

I designed and assembled the levels using Unity 2D tile map for testing purposes. I tested and polished them focusing on push & pull, balanced difficulty and teaching the player.

Effects

I made most of the particle and glitch effects for the game.
